The first US exhibition of graffiti and street art is being presented starting in mid April by MOCA (The Museum of Contemporary Art) in Los Angeles. This exhibition features several shows within the show and traces the graffiti and street art movements from the 1970s until today. The work of over 50 diverse artists will be showcased including Shepard Fairey (LA), Swoon (NY), and JR (Paris). Aside from working to bring together a selection of artwork, MOCA also organized educational community workshops as part of the gallery and organized skateboarding workshops alongside Nike SB.
