An artist we've been keeping our eye on lately is Mathieu Bessudo, also known as Mcbess. He's a French born musician, illustrator & art director working for The Mill, a creative firm based in London. His unique style takes a mixture of influences such as Fleischer Studios' (think Popeye/Mickey Mouse), hand-made types and contemporary symbols. The drawings combine a formidable blend of cute, psychadelic and ominous vibes and Mcbess himself is often featured in the centre of each surrealist masterpiece, surrounded with food and musical references.
