Button Down Coaster

We couldn't resist re-blogging these images we found on the CYC website. I haven't seen coasters even close to as cool as these. Although it wasn't mentioned who created them, it's without doubt an ingenuitive idea.

A Bathing Ape X Case Study Fiberglass Chair

Constructed using the same lost art that was pioneered a half century ago by Charles and Ray Eames, the BAPE x Case Study fiberglass chair is now available. The design plays on the classic Eiffel chair by Eames while incorporating BAPE camo on the chair backing. The chair is handmade from thousands of glass fibres, so that no two chairs are exactly alike. Check it out, accompanied by the famous BAPE wooden table, below.

Invader

Invader is a French graffiti artist that conceptualizes his art around the model of an invasion, posting visual art in strategic locations in a given city. When 'invading' a city sometimes his mosaics depicting 8-bit videogame characters will be arranged to form a meaning; in one instance the locations were chosen so that they formed an image on a map. London, Rome, and Barcelona are among the 22 European cities that have already been invaded.

Jeff Koons

One of the most globally identifiable pop artists today, Jeff Koons has gained recognition from many critics for his numerous public sculptures as well as treading a fine line between art and kitsch fascination. Many of his sculptures are characterized by the same facets - large reflective or shining pieces which tend to imitate balloon art, however the scope of his artwork is hardly limited.
