Damien Hirst

An artist who has built much of his reputation around the theme of death, Damien Hirst has influenced the world of streetwear through his paintings and more specifically his shocking solo exhibitions. Hirst was born in Britain and took formal art training in his mid 20s. A few of his well-known pieces are shown below.

Approximately £15,000,000 worth of diamonds were used to create "For the Love of God" as well as real human teeth dating to the 18th century.

A fisherman was paid to catch this shark off the coast of Australia. It was then preserved and put on exhibit - "The Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living"

This Banksy X Damien Hirst painting entitled "Keep it Spotless" was first seen at a Valentine's Day auction.

Sincerely,
L.C.
