Dubsmack 1 Year Anniversary

It goes without saying that Dubsmack holds a certain place in the heart of every Ottawa dubstep fan. With this Thursday marking the event's 1 year anniversary, the homies at TheKnwldg have brought in 12th Planet once again, but not only that our friends Rainman and Dubspec are opening. It's not every night you get to watch these guys open together so make sure to come early!

Dubspec also recommended this soon-to-be released track to us from 12th Planet and Antiserum, so take a quick listen.

Sincerely,
L.C.

Carhartt 2011 Spring/Summer Sweats

Carhartt is notorious for their durable workwear in North America. Their devotion to high-craftsmanship transcends into a fairly young street-wear label, which rarely makes it's way to this continent. Here's a look at their 2011 knitwear, which while remaining classic in graphics and style, incorporates some fresh, subtle elements such as half-zips and varsity renditions.

And if you missed this drop, check out some Carhartt gear from earlier this year after the jump!

Head Porter Plus S/S 2011

Of all the Spring/Summer 2011 lines we've posted I'm definitely the most excited about this Head Porter Plus drop. Head Porter Plus is a sister brand of the Japanese luggage company Head Porter which is known for it's leather luggage. As well as being fairly difficult to find, Head Porter Plus uses only materials of the highest quality. Check out more pictures after the jump.

AKA Mcbess

An artist we've been keeping our eye on lately is Mathieu Bessudo, also known as Mcbess. He's a French born musician, illustrator & art director working for The Mill, a creative firm based in London. His unique style takes a mixture of influences such as Fleischer Studios' (think Popeye/Mickey Mouse), hand-made types and contemporary symbols. The drawings combine a formidable blend of cute, psychadelic and ominous vibes and Mcbess himself is often featured in the centre of each surrealist masterpiece, surrounded with food and musical references.

Reigning Champ for Haven

Most Reigning Champ releases in the past have revolved around the idea of individuals with an active lifestyle. Surfing, boxing, and cycling have been central to past RC collections. Keeping this ethic in mind, Haven recently collaborated with Reigning Champ to bring these traditionally crafted high quality button down shirts. All the shirts were crafted in British Columbia. The guys at Haven took these snapshots of the new shirts, more after the jump.

Check out more pictures here on the Haven website.

Obey 'Dark Wave/Rising Sun' Print

Obey's latest print was released as a reaction to the earthquakes and tsunamis that have taken place in Japan in recent weeks. All profits go toward the relief effort in Japan, so take this opportunity to grab yourself one for $60 here when they are released on Thursday.
